Hello everyone, I would like to introduce you to my very dear friend Maggie of Maggie Mayd.  Maggie is an artist who I met  in Charlotte, who has just recently moved to the D.C. area.  She specializes  in pet portraits and created a beautiful portrait of my dog, Emma, for me last year.  By pet portraits, I mean real paintings done by hand from your photograph.  Here are two examples of how she transformed  crummy snapshots of Emma and Boston into two pieces of art.
