Diana and Lauren are the creative team responsible for all of the lifestyle and studio portraits for Studio Diana. We specialize in timeless, artistic heirloom wall portraits. We work closely with each family to create beautiful custom portraits which capture the spirit and intensity of your child's personality as well as the unique relationships between family members. After spending her formative years in Tangier Morocco, Diana Adams returned to the US to attend Sarah Lawrence College. Years later when her daughters were young, Diana fell in love with photography and in 1987, founded Studio Diana which has been in the same Old Town Fairfax location since 1996. After 15 years as one of the DC area’s top wedding photographers, Diana turned her sights to her first love, creating timeless classic portraits of children and families. Diana is an avid painter and regularly shows her photography & paintings in gallery and museum exhibitions.

Diana’s younger daughter Lauren Ungaro, graduated from Radford University with a degree in psychology and joined the studio in 2004. As Studio Manager, Lauren oversees the administration of the studio, marketing, post-production and is essential to the client experience at Studio Diana.
