I’m blogging today all the way from California! Last week I few to LA so I could second shoot two weddings with Justine over the weekend. It’s been a refreshing change of scenery, with some beautiful summer sun (and zero humidity!). Thanks for having me, J :)

Let’s party! It was such a lovely, pleasant evening for a cocktail hour on the patio (aka- a rare July night with low humidity, yay!)

Check out the amazing view from the rooftop, so DC:

I must say that the speeches given at this wedding were pretty fantastic. There may have been a crack or two (or 20) about Bruce’s age/height/existence in a decade unknown to Kathryn, but he took it in stride :)

Poshbooth is always a hit:

Doesn’t this reception look magical?

Kathryn and Bruce, I hope you had an amazing time! Thank you for including me!

Today I’d like to share with you part 1 of Kathryn and Bruce‘s July 3 wedding at the American Pharmaceutical Association Building. Their wedding was unique in that it was the first ever to be held at the APhA building! Amy of Engaging Affairs coordinated the event beautifully, including some gorgeous DC weather! Kathryn, Bruce, their family and friends were so much fun to work with and I’m so happy to have been a part of their day!

Kathryn began her morning preparing at The Fairmont hotel in Georgetown:

Kathryn borrowed this stunning necklace from her mother:

Leo Druker came along with me to shoot, and was with the guys preparing at a nearby hotel:

After a first look in the sunny Fairmont lobby, the bridal party hopped on the shuttle to take some pictures around the city.

So in love with the parasols!

A little italian ice is perfect for a summer day!

I still can’t get over the venue! The ceremony took place on the front steps of the building (with Constitution Avenue right in the background), cocktails on the lower patio, and the reception was held on the rooftop.

Check back tomorrow for photos from the party!

Where to begin with Adrienne and Daniel!? This couple is so happy, fun, creative and GORGEOUS! We met for the first time a few weeks ago for their engagement session in downtown Baltimore. ¬†They were such troopers considering it was 102 degrees that day at about 90% humidity- you’d never know seeing how beautiful they look in their photos! I had such a great time getting to know them and laughing with them. I can’t wait for their wedding coming up on Labor Day weekend with one of my favs, Sara Muchnick of Engaging Affairs.

We started at the American Visionary Art Museum, such a cool backdrop:

The AVM is totally unique and fun, with lots of quirky things all over and around the building. Daniel found this new lady friend at one of the side-entrances:

(I’m thinking you should stick with Adrienne.)

Outfit change and then down to the harbor. Love this:

Thank you Adrienne and Daniel for being you! (And thank you Sara for always providing me with awesome clients!) See you very soon!
