Al Kamikawa won a session with me in a silent auction. We loved every second we spent with this fascinating gentleman who is currently a beauty pageant judge. He is a retired trade association executive, was a Peace Corps volunteer in Columbia, and is 70 years old. He lives in downtown Washington D.C. in a magnificent, lovingly restored historic home. I decided to to create his portraits in and around his home and neighborhood.

He was really, really good and kept awake for the entire time, which was rare for someone his age. He didn’t mind a fair amount of changing hands from mommy to daddy to Diana to fur rug to the little hammock. Thank you for bringing him in while he is still a tiny little guy. I don’t think he will be for long.

Tony has collected 5 of my abstract paintings to help warm up the corporate space. He also collects fine black&white photography of famous rock musicians, as well as paintings by other painters. I took some pictures of the paintings in their new home. It’s a great feeling to see them appreciated and well placed.
